Accounting Career
In the market-driven economies of business, commerce and industry of today, personnel trained in accounting are needed in all organizations and enterprises. Jobs in accounting exist in all large scale and medium scale concerns. Accountancy graduates are employed as accounts executives, credit executives, investor relationship executive, finance executive, or customer relation executives. Higher degree holders are offered job openings as finance managers, accounts manager, credit control managers, treasury managers, or foreign exchange managers. Professionally qualified candidates like cost or chartered accountants are employed as taxation managers, auditors, general managers, and vice presidents. By far, the most lucrative careers in accounting will be found in the Banking Sector. Salaries:
Nationalized banks may offer a salary of Rs 10,000/- to Rs 15,000/-pm to fresher joining as Accounts Executive at entry level. When they reach Officer Cadre they will be offered Rs 20,000/- to Rs 25,000/- pm.
In foreign owned banks and MNCs, management trainees may be offered a salary of Rs 15,000/- to Rs 20,000/- during probation. Later they will be given salary of Rs 25,000/- to Rs 50,000/- pm as Managers and Heads of Departments.
