The art of designing has now become quite vast. We therefore, now have designer careers like web designer, graphics designer, textile designer, interior designer and the well-known fashion designer, to name a few. The advent of the Internet and its popularity has made innumerous organizations to have their own website to promote their products, leading to a demand for web designers. Similarly, the construction boom has ensured a demand for interior decorators while the demand for fashion designers was always there and to supplement them on the material to be used, a similar requirement of textile designers developed.

Designer career is quite lucrative and also satisfying for those with the right aptitude and the desire to create, that is, he or she must possess a creative bent of mind and should be able to keep his or her eyes open to developments taking place in the sphere of designing.

While a basic education is required in any field of designing, it is best to garner some specialized knowledge in the specific field of designing that one opts for. Moreover, an eye for color, style and shape is a must. However, a designer career in fashion can develop with one possessing a flair for it and preferably being under the tutelage of a fashion designer.
