Eligibility, Entrance Exams and Courses Offered

An MBA degree from a reputed college or Business School goes a long way in getting top management positions in the corporate world. Only courses approved by the All India Council of Technical Education from recognized universities are valued by business organizations. .


The basic qualification for MBA Course is graduation in any discipline such as B.Com, BA, B.Sc., BE/B.Tech etc.

Business schools have a three stage selection process for the students comprising of the written examination followed by a round of group discussions and then a personal interview.  The written examination covers aspects like Basic mathematics (Quantitative Analysis), English language (Verbal Analysis), Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation, logic, general knowledge etc.

However, a word of caution—the field of business & commerce is no longer an El Dorado, post-Recession! A fresh MBA degree holder starting as a Management Trainee can expect a salary of Rs. 8,000 to 10,000/- per month. It may go up to Rs 40,000 to 50,000 per month for exceptionally gifted employees. The sky is the limit for those who reach the Senior Management level.
